Ruth’s Story
Fifteen years ago, I stepped into life overseas as a missionary with World Gospel Mission. As a small-town New England girl, I quickly learned that while the mission field is full of joy, growth, and meaningful ministry, it can also feel profoundly isolating—especially for women.
While I currently live stateside, my journey has taken me across cultures, into marriage with a missionary family, and into countless sacred conversations. Over two decades, I’ve heard story after story of heartbreak, perseverance, joy, and most of all—God’s unfailing faithfulness.
Those stories stirred a deep burden in me. I began to ask:
Who tends to the heart of the missionary woman herself?
Who sees her when she feels forgotten?
Who listens when her soul is weary, her marriage is strained, or her identity feels lost?
That burden became my calling.
